Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro officially unveiled as the manufacturer's first phone with 6GB of RAM

Following a series of rumors and leaks, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro has just become official a few minutes ago in China, which appears the only market that will receive the phone. Although the new Galaxy C9 Pro is definitely not a smartphone that can rival the iPhone 7 or replace the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7, the handset stands out as Samsung's first smartphone to feature 6GB of RAM.

The display of the new Samsung Galaxy C9 is a 6-inch panel running at a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels.

On the inside beats the heart of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 653 chipset, a SoC that integrates an octa-core CPU consisting out of four blazing-fast ARM Cortex-A72 CPU cores and four additional low-power ARM Cortex-A53 Cores. The Snapdragon 653 also integrates an Adreno 510 GPU. Overall, we're expecting to see pretty decent performance levels coming out of the Snapdragon 653, especially so for an upper mid-range device.

When it comes to the design, the metal-build Galaxy C9 Pro appears to be a mix between the design language that Samsung adopts with most of its Galaxy phones, although we can definitely see some resemblance to Huawei's Mate phones as well as to Oppo's new R9 Plus.

In the memory department, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro features 6GB of RAM as well as 64GB of integrated storage space. If that's not enough storage space for the user's needs, a microSD card slot is there to the rescue.

As far as the imaging department is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy C9 is equipped with 16MP cameras on both the front and the back. Both lenses feature a wide f1.9 aperture.

Keeping the lights on is a 4,000mAh battery. The capacity is higher than on most smartphones, but the extra power consumption that a large 6-inch panel entails will probably translate into average battery life overall.

Other features include a fingerprint sensor embedded the home button, stereo speakers at the top and bottom, USB Type-C, a pair of 4G LTE SIM slots, as well as a Hi-Fi audio codec made by Cirrus. Furthermore, the Galaxy C9 Pro also comes with Samsung Pay, the technology that allows users to pay for goods and services with their phones on both NFC or MSFT terminals.

On the software side, Samsung's new Galaxy C9 will run Android 6.0.1 out of the box, with the company's own TouchWiz UX layer on top.

The Galaxy C9 Pro comes in Gold and Rose Gold (both white a white front) and is priced at the equivalent of about 470 US dollars.

Could This Be The Mysterious HTC Watch ???

The long-rumored but never before seen HTC smartwatch, commonly (but unofficially) known as the HTC One Watch, could finally be on its way. Or not. The circular watch has appeared in a gallery of new images on Chinese microblogging site Weibo, but there’s no telling if this circular wearable with Under Armor co-branding is the real deal or just an early prototype. If nothing else though, it’s nice to finally see what HTC had in mind.

The images show a chunky, sporty-looking wearable with a fully circular screen running Android Wear 5.1.1. Old OS aside, which does seem to date the photos as far from current, the One Watch sports a couple of dedicated buttons at 2 and 3 o’clock and appears in the settings.

HTC and Under Armor logos appear on the back alongside a heart-rate sensor and pogo pin charging setup, with another photo showing a snugly fitting cradle. The watch itself looks fine, if nothing outstanding, and clearly lines up with the fitness angle a partnership with UA would demand. The non-removable silicon watch band seems like a dubious choice, especially considering one of the photos shows a crack in the rubber.

If I were a betting man, I’d say these images are either just old or show an early prototype from before HTC realized a smartwatch was a bad idea. Back in 2014, HTC’s Jeff Gordon told me that HTC wouldn’t do a “me too” smartwatch but would hold off until the company could make a wearable that delivered what customers actually wanted from the platform.

As it stands, the smartwatch platform has largely failed to catch on and HTC has already delivered the UA Band on the fitness tracker front. Furthermore, Android Wear 5.1.1 came out in late May 2015 and the halfbeak codename first appeared in September last year. Why a device in development that long would only just break cover now is beyond me.

Huawei Sets To Unveil Honor 6X on October 18

While there have already been reports suggesting an October 18 unveiling for the Huawei Honor 6X, the Chinese company has now officially confirmed the date. The firm has started sending out press invites for the event.

As for the Specifications, the Honor 6X is powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset and sports a 5.5" 1080p display. It should come with either 2 or 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.

The handset features a 13MP dual-camera setup on the back and also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

No word about Huawei Mate 9 launch date has been claimed, but with IFA 2016 only a few days away, we hope it’s gonna be there, in Berlin.

In terms of specifications, this device carries a Helio P20 64-bit octa-core chip set, 6GB RAM, 32GB ROM (expandable up to 256GB), a 5.5 Inch Full HD display, a 8MP secondary + 12MP primary camera package, and a 3,000mAh cell supporting fast charging tech. 5. ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe

7. OnePlus 3 Mini

Finally, a mini version of OnePlus 3 will end our list. It can be small on the outside, but don’t underestimate it on the inside. Alleged leaked benchmarks for the handset have showed up on GFXBench, revealing that OnePlus 3 Mini specs will contain a 4.6-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 820 chip, 6GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal memory, and a 16MP rear-facing + 8MP front camera combo. Let’s wait and see!

NEW LEAK: LeEco Pro 3 Variant to Come With 8GB RAM and 256GB storage

While we've already heard rumors about LeEco's upcoming Pro 3 smartphone packing in Snapdragon 821 chipset and 6GB RAM, now a new leak has surfaced online, revealing that the device will also have a variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

 

 

As per the leak, this higher-end model will sport a 5.7-inch 2K (should be QHD) display, and feature a 13MP dual rear camera and 16MP front facing unit. A mammoth 5,000mAh battery will be there to keep the lights on.

The 6GB model, on the other hand, will sport a 5.5-inch full HD display, have 64GB of internal storage, and feature a 16MP/8MP camera combo. It will pack in a comparatively smaller 4,070mAh battery. Both models will be powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC.

As for price, there's no precise information, with the leak just revealing that the lower-end model will carry a tag of RMB 2x99, while the higher-end model will set you back RMB 3x99.

The Chinese company, in case you don't already know, is holding a product launch event on September 21, and it is expected that the Pro 3 will be star of the event. So watch out for that! Going to be Updating you more as this unfolds!

Marshmallow update starts hitting Sony Xperia C4 and Xperia C4 Dual

Sony has started rolling out the Marshmallow update to its Xperia C4 and Xperia C4 Dual smartphones. The update, which brings Android version 6.0, carries a firmware number of 27.3.A.0.122 for the former and 27.3.B.0.122 for the latter.

Currently, only the E5303 and E5306 variants of the Xperia C4 and the E5333 and E5343 variants of the Dual model are getting the update. However, it is expected that the remaining variants of the these phones will also get the update soon.

It isn't yet clear if the update is rolling out worldwide or limited to select markets.

No Headphone Jack

First thing that you need to know is that it’s official the headphone jack is dead.

The screen is better but it’s the same resolution both the iPhone 7 and 7 plus or twenty-five percent brighter and operate much wider color.

These look really good in person but the resolution has remained exactly the same.

The iPhone is rocking a 4.7 is 1334 x 750 display while the Apple 7 plus keeps the same 5.5 x 1920 x 1080 p display there really wasn’t any expectations for a higher-resolution display.

Better Battery Life

IPhone 7 and 7 Plus well have better battery life.

Now this is actually fantastic news because any amount of additional battery is a good thing the iPhone 7 will supposedly get you two hours more than iPhone 6s whereas the IPhone 7 will get you one hour more than a 6s plus.

In a world where phones are getting thinner and in turn that sacrifices better life it is nice to see the iPhone 7 not go backwards so as far as that goes that is definitely a win.

No 16GB Model

Now you all can celebrate because 16 GB iPhones are finally death.

So with the iPhone 7 and 7 plus you’re looking at 32 GB as a base model.

If you want that jet black glossy fingerprint magnet you’re going to need to spend more money to get it because it is not available on the 32 gigabyte model.

Pre-order started on September 9. If you’re east coast or somewhere else, you’re going to stay up late and as far as when they hit the stores that is September 16th which is right around the corner.

Meet the Amazing Cheap Lenovo k6 Series Device with HD Screen

Lenovo has recently unveiled its new series of super affordable phones at IFA 2016 in Berlin, and my blog partners from PhoneArena were there to take a look and see what they are all about.

The Lenovo K6 series, the new entry-level series, comes in three models: the most affordable Lenovo K6, the K6 Power with larger battery, and the K6 Note with its larger display.

All of the K6 series share the same essential running block: they are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 system chip featuring an octa-core CPU with eight Cortex A53s running at up to 1.4GHz. Compared to other modern chips, this one is built on the rather old 28nm manufacturing process, so while sufficient, the performance of this chip is definitely in the lower end of the market.

A nice addition to all of these super affordable devices is a fingerprint reader located on the back that adds an extra layer of security. With this in mind, let's look at each one of them in more detail. All of the K6 phones run on Lenovo's user interface on top of Android 6 Marshmallow.
