Drake’s ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ Becomes The First Platinum Album Of 2015

Drake’s ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ album/mixtape has become the first album released in 2015 to sell a million copies in the United States.

The album was released on Feb. 12 through Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records and debuted at No. 1o n the Billboard 200 chart.
If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is the second album to sell a million copies in 2015, after Taylor Swift‘s 1989 (which was released in 2014). 1989 has sold 1.463 million in 2015 and 5.124 million total.

The album platinum status make it the fourth Drake release to hit the mark following the releases of ‘Nothing Was the Same (1.72 million)‘, ‘Take Care (2.26 million)’ and ‘Thank Me Later (1.8 million.)’
