The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is due for a launch in a few weeks, and as expected, the leaks have been flowing. Previously, some images appeared which gave us a glimpse of how the tech would work. But today, we get a short demo of how it works.
The Images that came up on Weibo give us a glimpse of how the Samsung Note 7 iris scanner will work. The lockscreen will display a viewfinder for the front camera. End Users will be asked to position their eyes into the two circles, from a distance of 25 to 35 centimeters.
This will probably unlock the phone, though it’s not clear how long the process will take and if there are any requirements like ambient light or lack of obstacles such as glasses.
Whether the Iris Scanner becomes a defining feature, or whether it will join the infamous Gimmick club with the likes of other “features” like Eye Scroll on the Samsung Galaxy S5 — this is something we’ll find out when the Galaxy Note 7 launches in its full glory. For now, we will try to keep our expectations low and pretend to be surprised when they do launch it.
I took the Liberty of getting this Video from youtube so you guys will see what i'm talking about!
So this is My Question for you all....
What do you think of the Iris Scanning Tech?
Do you think it will be a defining feature?
Or will it be another one of those novelty tricks on modern smartphones?
Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!!!
