Google promotes its iOS and Android apps on Google.com

Head over to Google.com and you will find a present waiting for you from the company. The present — ‘Unwrap the best of Google for Android and iOS’ — is a link to all the apps that the company has available for download for both iOS and Android

The post-Christmas week is usually the biggest week for the Android and iOS app stores because of all the people who received a new smartphone as a Christmas present from their loved ones setting it up. With smartphones and tablets being among the hottest consumer gadgets and ideal items to gift to someone, this should not really come as a surprise. By placing a link to all its available apps on Google.com, the company will be easily able to lure these new smartphone users into its ecosystem.

aDespite Google owning Android, the company lays equal emphasis on the iOS ecosystem. For the iPhone and iPad combined, Apple has in total more than 100+ apps available on the iOS App Store and some of these apps are vastly superior to their Android counterpart.
